His website was beautiful. AI had never heard of him.

Andre Obradovic coaches men over 40 through sustainable weight loss, online, anywhere in the world. He had a professionally designed site built to convert, and a Melbourne page Melbourne couldn't find. About six weeks of citeability work later, when clients ask the engines who to hire, Andre is the name in the answer. Across four different engines.

Where he started

A site built to convert. Invisible to the engines doing the recommending.

Andre didn’t hire me for any of this. He brought me in last November to migrate his email platform. I stayed close to the business, took on his content, started writing his emails and his blog, and that proximity is how I found it: a site his clients loved that the engines simply couldn’t read. Every week that stayed true, clients asking AI for exactly what Andre does were handed someone else. Nobody had briefed it, because nobody knew it was there.

Andre's website is genuinely beautiful. Professionally designed, expensively built, the kind of site most coaches never come close to. It looks the part, reads well, and converts the traffic it gets. Which is exactly what makes the gap so telling: by the time someone reaches a site this good, the shortlist is already written. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI and Grok ran the first round of judging, and Andre's name wasn't in it.

His location page was titled "Location." It carried weak technical SEO, thin local signals, and few of the structured markers AI engines read to decide who's real and who to name. To a client, a polished site. To an engine, a blank.

●  The site, before the work

Andre Obradovic's homepage: a polished, professionally designed site with the headline Stay strong, lean and healthy for life, a portrait of Andre, and a stat bar reading 15 years coaching, 80-plus five-star reviews and 850-plus clients helped.
Andre's homepage. Everything a human visitor needs, and, until the work, nothing the engines did.

What was missing

No entity an engine could trust

Nothing on the site told the engines who Andre is in a machine-readable way: no declared credentials, no links to the bodies that certify him, no connection between the person and the proof. So the engines stayed vague, or stayed quiet.

No clear signal of who he serves

The page meant to win searches gave the engines nothing solid to attach to. The reach he cared about most was the reach the engines couldn’t see.

Nothing to quote

Citeability runs on structured evidence and third-party corroboration. Andre had the experience and the results. None of it was in a form an engine could lift into an answer, so competitors got quoted instead.

What we did

This is why AI started naming him.

Not a rewrite. A rebuild, point by point, of the signals an engine reads to decide who is real and who to recommend. I call it the PROVE method.

  1. First, an engine could confirm he was real

When a client asked an engine for a coach like Andre, it had no way to confirm he was a real, credentialed person, so it named one it could. I fixed that: his name, his business, and his ICF and Primal Health certifications wired back to the bodies that grant them, so a machine could verify him instead of skipping him. The moment an engine could trust he was real, he became one it could recommend.

  2. Then the engines knew where he worked

His location page was titled “Location.” To an engine, that is nobody, nowhere. So when a man in Melbourne asked AI for help, it pointed him to a coach it could actually place on a map. I rebuilt the page to tell the engines exactly who Andre serves and where, in his own words and marked up so they can lift it. Now when his city goes looking, it finds him.

  3. Then there was something worth quoting

Engines recommend the expert whose answers they can quote. Andre had the expertise; none of it was in a form an engine could lift. So I built the answers to the real questions men over 40 type into the machine, in Andre’s voice, with his own client proof attached. Now when those questions get asked, his answer is the one worth quoting, not a competitor’s.

  4. Now the whole web agrees who he is

Engines cross-check. If your name, your location, and what you do disagree across the web, they hedge, or hand the recommendation to someone clearer. So I’m aligning every place that mentions Andre, starting with his Google Business Profile, so the whole web tells one story about him. When everything agrees, the engines stop hedging and start naming him. This one is held, not finished. The web keeps moving, so we keep it aligned.

The result

From invisible
to the name in the answer.

Before: named by no engine on his core client queries →

Now named by Perplexity, ChatGPT, Google AI and Grok, across repeated runs, and first in most.

Most coaches in his niche aren't named by AI at all. Andre is the one the engines reach for, in his own words, with his own credentials, sourced from his own site.

The citations sit on a foundation that's compounding

Since the work, the numbers underneath have moved the same way. Search impressions grew from 31,110 to 153,060 across equal six-month windows, nearly 5x. Average Google position went from 18 to 9: off page 2, onto page 1. Clicks up 57%. His flagship tool page, a carb calculator, went from 14 clicks to 186, a 13x lift, and from 5k to 91k impressions on its own. Organic social traffic doubled, and email went from near-zero to a real channel. The site has stopped fighting for visibility and started accumulating it. Put plainly: the engines trust Andre more than they did before, and trust is the soil citations grow in. (Google Search Console and GA4, July to December 2025 vs January to June 2026.)

The frontier

First his home turf. Next, the rest of the world.

Andre coaches online, worldwide. The receipts so far come from his home region, and that is exactly how citeability lands: the engines learn who you are where your signals are clearest, then the reach widens. The current work is making "online, for men over 40, anywhere" as legible to the engines as his home city already is, so the name that shows up for "best coach in Melbourne" also shows up for "best online coach for men over 40," wherever the client is asking from.

That is the honest state of it. Cited today where the signals are strongest, and being built outward from there.

In Andre's words

“I had a site I was proud of. What I didn’t realise is that the AI tools people now ask first had no idea I existed. Sally fixed that. Ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for a coach for men over 40 and my name comes up, in my own words. That’s reach I couldn’t buy.”
